<<Briggs, 26, is younger than Thomas, 29, and is every bit the impact player in a 4-3 scheme as Thomas is in a 3-4. Heading into March, Briggs and Thomas were the consensus 1-2 linebackers on everybody’s free agent board. Thomas was lucky the Ravens didn’t have the cap room to franchise him, and he quickly established the market.

Thomas’ deal made determining Briggs’ value as easy as picking up the morning paper. >> Enuff said.
But i will say more anyway, Briggs agent Drew Rosenhaus always creates ugly confrontations, that is his style, to make a huge headache a team need understand won't go away without the desired contract or trading him to another team( IOWs to "I Got The Money" Snyder, Redskins owner:).

i cripes "I got the Money!!!!" Snyder of the Redskins is throwing " Name it i will pay it" notes to Rosenhaus i bet:)
Snyder is the reverse of tight, he is too spendthrift.
i am amazed to hear Briggs only played for 720k the last two years.
Eagles signed Takeo Spikes this week, he fills a huge hole in their of last year defense.
Truth is Bears can't lose a young talent like this, it is talent like this that builds a franchise for the long haul Max.
