I didn't see your personal money for the freezer that activates most politico's today. No graft, no personal gains, is helping the boy scouts look good a bad thing where you come from? Having seen the huge effort it took in my town to get a place for dogs to run, any good publicity is a gift to the dogs and to their owners? I can't see any of the politicians I know acting in a way that didn't further their own personal agendas. Did I miss the personal gain you are getting? Are you living in some secret place where politicians are honest and not self serving?
