The people will be with Congress. In his bubble, Bush doesn't realize just how ALONE he is in supporting his pet war, at this point for nothing more than his own ego. The Republicans in the Senate could have filibustered it, but chose not to.

Yes, I understand that to a certain degree, but I can't help but help politics as usual. I'm really hoping that Bush won't veto the bill, but am 99% certain he will. The fun part will be after the veto. Will Congress buckle and get rid of the withdrawal plan in the second version of the bill? That's the $120B dollar question. If they buckle, then they will lose all of our respect. They'd better not buckle. That's all I have to say.


Yes, Bush needs to get the message loud and clear that he stands alone and he has lost the respect of the American people. When a conservative school like BYU is critical of Cheney giving the commencement address, you know the country is no longer with you.
