I posted before the Iraq invasion that Saddam was a "paper tiger" and probably nowhere near as dangerous as Bushies were stating. It didn't take me long to figure out Bushies were lying to the American people in the run-up to the war. I did want to make sure Saddam was disarmed, but I didn't know Clinton had already done that with his 1998 bombing runs. I wasn't paying attention in 1998. In 2002-2003 I was.

John Kerry was right about Iraq. Only go in if absolutely necessary and then only fully prepared with the maximum number of allies and a smart plan for how to win the peace. Bush did none of these things, mainly because his cronies didn't want to share the oil or occuption contracts (Exxon, Halliburton, etc.)
