we certainly didn't spend much time discussing what to do if you become a POW.

The unfortunate Sailors from Gt Britain are NOT POWs, they were kidnapped by a non-combatant country during the exercise of their duties in an occupied but friendly foreign country. This could be considered an act of war, but as of this moment, war has yet to be declared. So they are simply Kidnapped Military held by an unfriendly nation. Perhaps we might get some reaction if the British prime minister were to ask the iranian ambassador if he understands that this kidnapping is an actual Declaration of War against Great Britain, and it's Allies and a crime under the Geneva conventions.

A caller made a good point on a talk radio show today.

The brits didn't have any trouble at all going up against the IRA because they knew there was really no chance of meaningful retaliation. But in the case of Iran and the kidnapping.......they are showing their true color.......and that is yellow.
