Well the other thing, especially for younger people, is the new treatments coming every day almost. I imagine you want to fight because it would be a real drag to die the day before a cure for your cancer was found.

Another friend of mine had blood in his urine and such and they come to find that he has renal cancer. So another friend recommends this other doctor in town who specializes in that who sees him and after some tests comes to find out it's in his lungs. Doc said I can chemo and radiate you but your going to die. He said there is no treatment at my disposal that will prevent you from dying. But then the kicker was I do know a study going on in DC that I think you could get into that while experimental would at least offer you at some hope. So he got into the study and now 8 1/2 years later is still cancer free. Saved his life to have a doctor be up front with him about his chances with the treatments he had available.
