The smearvets broke the law. They are guilty of gross libel and fraud. However, since Kerry (and McCain before him) don't due they think they get away with it. However, there are movements in congress now to make it a felony to deliberately mislead voters, up to 5 years in prison. I am all for it. I also hope that they finally get Rove under oath and start asking him about how he engineered the theft of the elections, including organizing the smearvets with Tom DElay and other cronies. You realize they did the same thing to McCain in 2000 on a smaller scale. So it affects your party too. McCain would have been a far better president than GW Bush and the people preferred him. He kicked Bush's butt in New Hampshire and was on his way to winning when Bush-Rove had their drity tricks wage the smear campaign, calling McCain a traitor, coward, aider of the enemy, war medal faker, etc. etc. Sound familiar? same thing they did to Kerry. And not a single shred of it was true.
