Pearly_Button - Good point about China and Japan. We have much more open markets and less subsidies for industry; government money goes to the military instead. But free markets and military power are good things to have, aren't they...? This issue of the Asian vs. the American system is probably the number one issue for our economic and political future, even more important than the Middle East situation. It's a very complex issue as to which system is better and whether they will come into conflict at some point. I won't even attempt to comment on that.
