So you think the EU is on par with Nazi Germany?

Not at all. But it's still an undemocratic institution that is sucking self-rule away from every European in it. I suspect there is a deep unhappiness breweing as the masses become ever more estranged from the Brussels elite. This being Europe, we will probably see the unhappiness expressed in nationalist Le Pen style movements at some point.

>>But the point remains, millions of people got shifted after WWII (think of the Germans of Konigsburg and East Prussia and the Sudetenland), but not one of them is sitting today as a "refugee" in a "refugee camp" with their descendents on a UN stipend. Europe reacted quite differently from the Arabs.

Germany is still German, and still pretty large

Jordan is still Arab, and still pretty large. Ditto Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, Egypt and Saudi Arabia.

What has this got to do with the loudly proclaimed longing for a return to an Arab Palestine, a country which never existed?

It's not that Germany still exists. Prussia and Konigsberg and the German Sudatenland are gone, territories that vastly overshadowed Mandatory Palestine in population, wealth and importance. It's that the Germany made a different decision about its future post WWII than the Arabs did. It decided that two generations lost striving for German domination were enough. The Arabs haven't made that decision yet, but then, they never yet paid the price that Germany did.

Go back to my example of the USA & Hispanics. If you really think the "The Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave", "Live Free or Die", and "Don't Mess with Texas" would roll over the way you claim, you are missing reality.

I never said they would roll over, on the contrary, I said there would be a war! But then there would be a peace negotiated, and some settlement would be reached. Americans and Hispanics would not mortgage their children's futures to the conflict, just as Mexico has not spent a hundred and fifty years sending terrorists into Texas and New Mexico.

neo,

are you okay?

"So you think the EU is on par with Nazi Germany?"

how did you extract that from her reasoned observation about the EU being undemocratic?

I just jumped into this foray and had no clue it would be stunted with such hyperbole as your's.
