Actually it did a pretty good job of limiting PLO attacks for Lebanon. Yes since then attacks from the West Bank and Gaza have increased, and also you had the rise of Hezbollah. It can be argued that the decision to invade was a mistake, or that they executed the decision poorly.

It can be argued that violence begets violence. Isn't that admonishment in one of the bibles? When will we take it to heart?

But even if one or both of those ideas are correct, that doesn't mean the invasion was an act of aggression or change the fact that the real violator of Lebanese sovereignty was the PLO.

You don't think invading a foreign country is an act of aggression? How can we have a discussion on this subject if that's what you believe?
