Oh wait, I forgot, liberals never apply the same standards to each other as they apply to conservatives. When Liberal Bloggers Start Treating Matthew Yglesias Like They Treat Ann Coulter, Then I'll Stop Calling Them Hypocrites John Hawkins Right Wing News Isn't this "joke" that prominent liberal blogger Matthew Yglesias told on his blog yesterday remarkably similar to the sort of jokes that liberal bloggers rip Ann Coulter over mercilessly? <<< "Why not let Senators pack heat as they roam the corridors? Then, next time Dick Cheney tells Pat Leahy to go fck himself, Leahy can pull out his piece and fill Cheney's belly with lead. Even better, if Cheney tries to shoot back, he'll probably wind up missing and taking out half the Republican caucus." >>> Pat Leahy shot the Vice-President in the stomach! Hahahaha! Oh, that's liberal humor at it's best, isn't it? Margaret Cho will be stealing that line -- count on it! But, what's the difference between that line and Ann Coulter saying, <<< "We need somebody to put rat poisoning in Justice Stevens' creme brulee. That's just a joke, for you in the media?" >>> What about when Coulter said the following in reference to John Murtha, <<< "The reason soldiers invented 'fragging.'" >>> It's the same sort of joke. Yet, when Coulter said those things, liberals came out of the woodwork to condemn her, acted as if she were serious, and urged that she be shunned. So, let's see how many of those same liberals prove that they're not hypocrites by ripping Matthew Yglesias in the same way that they ripped Coulter. Oh wait, I forgot, liberals never apply the same standards to each other as they apply to conservatives. So, if a conservative blogger had used a similar line about Al Gore, it would prompt a three day long blogswarm, with dozens of conservatives piling on, but when a liberal says it, oh, it doesn't count because it's just a joke. PS: Yes, Cheney shouldn't have dropped an "F" bomb on the Senate floor, but it was way back in 2004. Meanwhile, the average liberal blog probably averages a half dozen "F-Bombs" per day. I mean, c'mon, liberal bloggers are generally the sort of people who would say, "Pass me the f***** hymnal," in church, well, if they weren't mostly atheists. Yet, they're still pretending to be horrified and offended by what Cheney said, today, in 2007....oh wait, I forgot again, they're liberals so they can do that.
