McCain is not perfect but he'd have been ten times better a president than Bush has been. For one thing we wouldn't be in a quagmire civil war in Iraq which is draining our military, treasury and national power and prestige. 9-11 might not have happened because McCain would have heeded Clinton's warnings ab out Al Qaida. The country would be much more united. We'd be focusong on getting off oil and doing something to reverse global warming. And we wouldn't be pandering in ridiculous ways to the religious right, staging Terri Schiavo fiascos, etc. Finally, McCain would not have cheated to win his elections.
