It does seem peculiar that enemies we crushed nearly out of existence are now our best allies and strongest economic partners while the ones we capitulated to are limping along in abject poverty or ideological swamps.

Perhaps you need a bit of study of demographics and budget realities. We need to focus our resources internally. When we do the cry will be Yankee come back.
