Wow.........that is scary. Is it because of the mercury? All the fish in Clear Lake can't be eaten because of the mercury. There was once a great deal of "quick silver" mining in that area. I avoid drinking the water but locals claim it's safe. Again, Calistoga is or used to be a relatively quaint town near some vast rural areas. Middletown is still quaint and Calistoga isn't exactly the big city. Has it changed much over the last 10 years?
