Anyone know if it's GEM.v's intention to take their "100-percent owned Elliot Lake Uranium project in Northern Ontario" all the way to a mine by themselves?

Someone here told me that the deposit comes to the surface, or is near the surface, giving the impression that it would be a low cost open pit mine. However, in this NR they refer to "...rock mass quality of the deposit and its host rocks is good to excellent and sufficient to support room-and-pillar mining methods." That sounds like underground hardrock mining to me.

Then they say "Processing methods now under consideration include conventional milling and underground leaching..." which I take to be ISL.

They start off by saying "...estimating that the deposit contains 30.05 million tonnes grading 0.05-percent U3O8, for a total inferred resource of 33.05-million pounds U3O8, and an additional potential mineral deposit of 25 to 30 million tonnes at grades ranging from 0.04 to 0.05 percent U3O8." The imagination leaps and suddenly one thinks they have on the order of 33.05 + 22 = 55.05 million lbs of yellowcake.

fully-diluted: 76,083,360 x c$0.85/0.866 = $74.7 million mkt cap
$74.7 million/33 million lbs = $2.26/lb
Fully valued would be in the range of $10-15/lb.

Why aren't the majors falling all over themselves to take out Pele?
