"Of course, that presumes the people of Gaza accept the idea of a Jewish nation at their border, which appears to not be the case."

a wonderment and, then not so....with all the pain and suffering, they still can't see the forest from the trees; the madras's are self-perpetuating poverty cyclones.

Does not Abbas have some say in this?

I agree with Michael that, for what it's worth ( the faux Saudi deal ) it's a starter but this right of return and non Jewish immigration component is clearly not.

What a terrible game.

Of course, that presumes the people of Gaza accept the idea of a Jewish nation at their border, which appears to not be the case.

They might also have to (shudder) get their own living if they declared independence, instead of being one giant welfare squat. Never gonna happen. This way, the people are fed on foreign alms, Hamas has plenty of dough to buy guns (but not to built sewers - the metal goes into Katyushas instead) and the people's misery is a postive good for them, as it helps The Cause.
