This current bill has got some drought relief packaged into it that would help farmers in the south east and west. I think it would pass on its own merits as separate bill. The current bill should have been about the war in Iraq. It is of importance to Iraq, to package relief for farmers in a bill you know is not going to get past the president is just plain old stupid. If you can figure out that a bill to relieve farmers could be passed on it's own, why are the democrats too stupid to do exactly that, and become heroes to the Farmers they are aiding. Why hide what you are doing? Why tie aid for katrina to the war on Iraq. By the way, will the Democrats accept the blame for the slaughter of the Sunni Iraqis, when it happens after the pull out?
