Yeah, the budget is definitely bloated. However, one thing the Democrats HAVE done very recently is passed an Iraq spending bill to Bush that puts a date for withdrawal. That has been my first priority for awhile now. So Objective # 1 is on it's way, even though we all know Bush will veto it. But I can't fault the Democrats for trying.

Now if only we could make progress on Objective # 2: meaningful plans to become oil independent.
