The Sunnis and Shias are in a civil war in Iraq. If it walk, smells, talks, and looks like a civil war, why is Bush denying it's a civil war?

And why do we have to be stupid martyrs and put our children inbetween two warring factions of a religion known for its violence? And if Islam is so damn peaceful, then let the Muslim "moderates", if there is such a thing as an Islamic moderate majority, solve their own problems with their religion. Why is that our battle? We are a 75% Christian nation. Let's solve our own problems right here in the US. We certainly have plenty of our own problems to solve without having to take on the weight of the world's problems as well.

Let's get our troops off the front line. However, let's leave a few thousand special forces in Iraq, not on the front lines, but safely tucked away in the green zone. They can come out peridodically to take out some bad actors when we need to, but we don't need to be going door to door and pacifying people who want to engage in a civil war. That's the job of the President of Iraq and his military.

The Democrats have done their worst, and now George W. Bush must do his best. The Senate's 51-47 vote to require the withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq within a year, effectively telling al Qaeda and its terrorist allies that if they can tone down the noise for a year the Shi'ites and Sunnis can get on with killing each other in the name of Osama, Mohammed, Allah or any Muslim notability of their choosing. The moderate Muslims everyone here says he wants to help can drop dead (and many of them will).

Why do you think any of your leaders have any credibility left? They have been telling us nonsense [yes, taro, the word may be overused but it best describes what this country has gone through the past 7 years] since the day they gained power. They are some of the most incompetent, corrupt crop to come along in a long time and warrant no respect let alone to be followed. Its time to withdraw from Iraq whether you all like it or not.
