Pretty much what I thought was the case for Thompson. I don't care for Rudy very much and you're right about the way the press would burn him. Ditto Gingrich, I'm afraid. Gingrich coming out right now and talking about it openly might (MIGHT) help get him past all the nonsense, but I wouldn't count on it. Thompson has a lot of time before he has to join the contest... and start spending money. An article on the front page of Wednesday's IBD says he's a contender, just hasn't declared. He'd get my vote.
