At my daughter's HS graduation last year, one of the kids in the procession went into a seizure. From all appearances, it was quite a seizure.

It was quite sad to think that the seizure will likely be what the kid remembers of his HS graduation. Truly unfortunate it had to happen then. Possibly the stress of the event set it off?

Per your request, I have transfered this post from another thread as a response to info about a new drug for Prostrate cancer. That new drug is discussed in an article here:

Message 23414285

Below is my personal response:

It's a strange cancer and much more needs to be known about prostrate cancer.

Sometimes it remains quite dormant for years and many men never know they had it.

It is sometimes discovered in men at autopsy after they died of something else.

All progress is a step in the right direction but much more will need to be done to perfect this new method of treatment.

If the wrong white blood cells get put back into a man he will have a severe problem called graf versus host reaction......the white cells will attack the man and destroy various vital body parts. G v H can be fatal.

This treatment shows promise but it's a long way from curing prostrate cancer. It's a beginning.

Early diagnosis is still your best defense and gives you the best chance at a cure...........do all the tests that your Dr. recommends at the time he or she says to get them. It will save your life or keep you from having more serious side effects.
