Actually there is a difference. When a Democrat slept with a 17 year old boy, he was censured, and retained his seat. Gerry Studds When a Republican was found to be writing dirty letters to Pages, he resigned and still cost the Republicans an election. That the Democrats knew for months, and kept it silent to use in the election. The Democrats didn't care about the children getting the dirty letters, or the damage that might be done to them, they cared only about political points. Mark Foley There is a distinct moral difference, in how the two cases were handled, and how the Democrats reacted, they protected the politician who was having sex with a 17 year old boy and destroyed the one who wrote emails to them.
