Ken - Thrush is treated with antifungal medicines. It is caused by the uncontrolled growth of a yeast that is always present in the mouth, but is normally controlled by benevolent bacteria. However, the treatment isn't the issue. Your mother should see a doctor right away, because thrush can be a symptom of something serious, such as diabetes mellitus or immune system problems. Google the subject Ken and then you might find a remedy. I knew a young man who had AIDS who had to use something for his mouth as he had it from the illness but I have long forgotten what it was and he has passed. Good luck..
