If Britain does anything militarily to Iran, do you think the US would stand back and do nothing? Not likely. However, keep your panties on. Iran will cave on the soldiers. They know they are in the wrong and they are just posturing right now. The US has already called their bluff on the Iranian spies that were in Iraq. So now Iran's back is against the wall. They will have to give them back or Britain might decide to do something about it.
