With people like this inside the various Government departments, who think they know it all, forgetting they do NOT see daily Intel briefings (so does Barnett forget this), how can ANY President succeed.

He/She is bound to be defeated internally....by the know-it-alls....

this administration has been adrift the entire second term, just as I feared (thus my call for Kerry).

oh yeah, Kerry would have been sooo much better! I presume he means, with Richard Holbrooke as SecState. Does he really think a man as arrogant and insecure as Kerry, universally loathed by the military, could have stood to play second fiddle to the much more able, but equally egotistical, Holbrooke? I don't.
