It isn't just about "feeling" civilized it's about "being" civilized. Since you obviously don't see the importance of that, I see no point in taking this further.

It's entirely civilized to tell the world that a country which has not honored it's GC obligation in regard to your nationals will not necessarily receive the same obligations if captured. It's more than civilized, it's common sense. You violate a treaty, you lose its benefits.
