I don't know the law well enough to recommend. Showing someone's picture on TV, when compared with things like torture, sexual degradation, and the murder of prisoners, seems pretty low level to me. I assume the Brits have folks who know what the remedies are under the Geneva conventions. I'd expect them to pursue those remedies if they deem it worthwhile- and since they ARE talking about it, and complaining (as they should) that's hardly sitting in silence. I'm sure they've lodged a complaint with the Iranians, for example.

I haven't seen the Brits saying they will abandon the GC conventions, and I don't expect to (and good for them that they aren't saying that.)
