Ok I looked at those two instances and they are in the context of nations. But if one looks at how Bush has dealt with people with a different idea than him he always seems to come across with the attitude "my way or the highway". And the republican leadership of the congress has been very heavy handed under Delay.

I will try to think of other examples that exemplify the attitude I am talking about. One time period I can think of is the run up to the attack on Iraq, when Rice and Cheney were talking about mushroom clouds. The whole period leading up to the vote on Iraq. Another time period is the time period leading up to the signin of the patriot act, where no one was even given time to read the legislation before voting on it.
