Actually the US was a powerhouse thru the 90's, and under Clinton, was truly realizing the power of the US economic engine by having in place policies that supported growth and equity.

The 21st century has seen the rapid decline in the economic power of the US as well as policy shifts that will doom the country unless reversed soon.

A stupid man and a team of greedy conniving opportunists have established the destructive pattern you are describing.

I think the jury is still out as to whether America can regain a measure of the the pre-Bush greatness.

One thing is certain, history will not be kind to this asshole nor those who voted for him...twice.

I have no idea what "accounts" Russia, Venezuela, or Cuba would want to "settle" with "the US". Can you be more specific?

Also, what do you mean by "the US"?
