Well said; my sentiments to the T.

But are you absolutely sure of this?:and Bush has no authority to attack Iran at this point.

He is Commander and Chief. In one fell swoop he could do a whole lot for himself ( which I care a tad about ) but, more importantly, what you delineated in your post.

You'd have to say goodbye to sub $80 oil for a few months...but, in the end, it's a cheap price to pay.
