Rather than pursue a money damages remedy, they abandoned the case.

My recollection was that the early judgement was that TI was indeed in breach of contract, but Qualcomm declined to seek damages and instead pushed for a "material breach" judgement, lost that and then was shot down unaminously by the Delaware Supreme Court on appeal.

Either way, Qualcomm both won and lost, so everyone is both right and wrong.
