I got to thinking about this "you're never cured from" crap. Say you have one test that shows you have high blood sugar so that makes you have type 2 diabetes for the next 50 years or however long you last even if you take no pills or have another high reading. It's a way to milk you through your insurance. You have the flu, doc says do this and gives you a shot, week later you feel better, would have if you hadn't seen the doc, but he cured you. Next year you get the flu, does that mean you have the flu for life?
