Bush has fed big business the bodies of the middleclass. So of course the S+P is fatter. The big corps have also been allowed to ship manufacturing overseas and evade taxes. Plus huge war spending is always good for the market.

So stock prices should not be a measuring stick. or at least subtract the new national debt from the value of the S+P.

Clinton gave us a great stock market and surpluses too. WHy not go back to that? It made a helluva lot of sense. Bush fixed what didn't need to be fixed, and created a totally unsustainable US economy. And look at the poor dollar down 50% against the Euro. That's because of the deficit spending.

BTW, I would short the Bush economy from here on. It's a house of cards.
