Jay,
" two boys of similar age hold her hand in turn ... i was also not steeled for such a sight..."

Jay, that gets even better sometimes, and also worse, much worse, other times. In 12 years I wonder if your opinion of those boys will change, if not in the main, perhaps at the edges of conscious thought, but I see that you are there already (good man). When you are the gorgeous young things daddy for 14-16 years or so, paranoia is a good thing, ggg. Having been the father of two young beauties, I have run the gamut from introducing my daughters to their future husbands (and hoping so at the time) to actually throwing a particularly obnoxious potential suitor out on the street. (Despite this example, I was generally kind and patient with the boys seeing as one never knows if I might be calling them "son" someday, but never trusting till the "I do" was said, ggg) The worst boys it seems, btw, were from the richest families, the craziest boy, his parents were both psychiatrists, go figure.

In retrospect, a wonderful educational experience which I treasure, now that it is successfully over (but it never really is)!

The trials of fatherhood definitely have their rewards, this week I am grandfather now for the second time, the eldest daughter and her husband had another baby girl. The younger daughter is studying to be a doctor, so we will be waiting quite awhile for her additions to the family tree.

All the Best,
Roebear
