Because unbridled capitalism will lay waste to the planet we live on and a consume everything at all costs mentality isn't smart when you consider we live in an ecosystem. Do you want the human race to act like a cancer on the environment or do you want the human race to be one that acts in symbiosis with our environment? I know your answer, but for the rest of the critically thinking human population, we'd like to live in a symbiotic relationship with the environment.
