You are talking about a verdict, not the judge ruling about the state of the evidence. "Michael Jackson never molested those children because the one suing him has a record of fraud." Ditto. "And Clinton never committed perjury because the affair he lied about was later found to be immaterial to the case." Yes. Because, by definition, perjury is lying about evidence that is material to the case. By definition. Now you might want to make up your own private definition, but I am not sure why... This is sort of like calling a spoon a fork because you want it that way.
