You play too many games. Although his presentation lacked a lot, Rumsfeld had a point when he said you go to war with the army you have. The problem is, at some point, you need to actually equip them.

"It's a lot different these days. We're at war, but the sacrifices demanded out of American society are a lot less than in WWII."

Yep. We can't even be bothered to make sure that the few we have fighting get the equipment they need and the medical care they deserve. And that is a leadership issue.
