LOL. Yeah, I figured as much. Chinese people are thinking right along the same lines as you.

Seriously, though, I think that is irresponsible thinking. I think that we should establish our ability to get to other planets, colonize them, and ensure their ability to survive independent of Earth, before we completely rape and plunder Earth.

It's the number one rule of survival. If you need a resource to regenerate in order for you to survive, then don't consume that resource beyond it's capacity to regenerate. That is exactly what we are doing with these greenhouse gases. We've tipped the Earth beyond it's ability to absorb what we're pumping out. So we have to work to bring it back within the upper control limits and then keep it there, so that the Earth's environmental ecosystem will survive for the duration of the life of our Sun. That is the responsible thing to do.

However, I realize that most humans are simply incapable of thinking beyond themselves or their own lifespan. Hell, most humans can't think beyond tomorrow. That is why we its better to categorize humans as a cancer, rather than a symbiote within an ecosystem.
