I mean what the F have we learned from the Bush fiasco? He had ALL the "qualities" to be President and he F'ed the country good.

I never thought Bush had the qualities to be president. I told you.....it was 2 AM PST when it came on the news that FLA did not go to Gore as everyone thought it would. I felt my stomach drop two feet. The next morning I woke up with that bad feeling you get when you lose too much money at the blackjack table. Until Bush/Gore, I never watched presidential returns.....that's how much Bush disturbed me.

You gonna buy the next marketing scheme Presidential candidate and blow off a competent guy just because he looks a little dorky?

My God, John, Obama has ears like an elephant. He is of mixed race. The true star in the current race is John Edwards.....he's good looking in a white, Christian/Anglo way; smart; successful, compassionate. Don't get me wrong, I like him but I don't see him leading this country to a better place.....I don't think he has what it takes. Same with Richardson. And forget Hillary......she could be Abraham Lincoln reincarnated as a woman, I still wouldn't vote for her. The bitch voted for the war and won't take it back. She's nearly as bad as Lieberman.

No, my candidate is Obama. Its a lock for me. Its like when you see the house you want to live in......or the job you want to have. I have said before, I don't agree with Obama on everything. I thought what he said this weekend about backing done over allocations for the troops was plain stupid and played right into Bush's hand. Nonetheless, I think he has what it takes to get this country to a better place. I just worry he will be assassinated for his efforts. The neos don't take kindly to quality in the opposition.

I'm just disappointed.

I know exactly how you feel. I feel like I am watching the demise of America. I have waited 6 years to buy a house because I am not sure I want to stay here. We are in such big trouble and we have at least a third of the country dragging its collective feet, screaming and objecting every inch of the way.

re: What does he really stand for? You have to dig to find out.

Bull, he's got specific policy, more than anyone except maybe Edwards. If/when Obama actually talks specific policy I might support him. Right now he's known as for his lack of talking specifics. Probably a good ploy, less "surface" to attack, but eventually he will have to commit.

Obama mostly speaks conceptionally. When he doesn't, he gets very specific. That's how I think. I identify the concept/goal first and then I find the way that gets me to my goal. I think its called "thinking outside the box". Again, its why I am comfortable with both Obama and Clinton.......they both seem to think that way.

Try to keep an open mind.

Too late. Like I said, its a lock for me. Obama would have to screw up big time for me to drop him. And frankly, I don't think its worth you and I getting upset with each other. I doubt Obama will get the nomination. The US can still be a racist nation when it comes to the presidency.
