bye, shades. I like you. you're smart and I find you entertaining, but I asked you to stay on topic and you haven't.

If you want to give it another try in 30 days send me a PM and I'll give you another chance.

it is not at all clear to me that sexual orientation/preference is much of an issue in china - no one cares one way or another, all are too busy doing other things, gays are left alone and have been for a bit more than 4705 years far as I understand.

americans make a big deal out of it all because, obviously, enough folks care to infringe and intervene, as they have nothing better to do

as to the second point, blacks as secretary of state ? bummer, there are no black chinese. race riots? not necessary.

so, your points comprise what precisely is known as a pointless null set.

as of now, it is far more likely that race riots and gay bashing will happen harshly again, but not in china

no?

especially as frustration levels continue to build given as good as unequal distribution of war burden, and bad decline of economic prospect

it is after all how events generally work

no?

Below is the PM I just sent to shades.

Shades,

I apologize. I had too much to drink at the Seder last night and it affected my judgment. I reread your post and although it wasn't really on-topic it certainly isn't worthy of banning. You are right, if someone doesn't want to read you they are free to put you on ignore. I've unbanned you. I hope you'll come back.

btw, thanks for your recommendation, chalmers johnson is a good read, excellent in fact, riveting in content, and probably spot on, and if so, the 79th element would be good to accumulate :0)
