I have a lot of Frank, Sammy Davis, Dean, etc on CD at this stage. When my friends my age come over they rather cock an eyebrow at my music, some of which they've never heard. The entertainers of that era were just as good live as they were on an album and had to be. The same can not be said for many of todays group. Many of them are pretty to look at and made in the studio and hardly dare try to perform live. And the things some of them had to go through in that day such as Sammy Davis performing at the Sands but couldn't stay there nor enter through the front door.
