"revolutions are deeply cleansing"

Sometimes you throw a curve, excuse but I must say when I hear the word "cleanse" in regards to human beings I think, "time to reach for my revolver". The Bolshivik revolution, which my grandfather managed to live through, set the Russians back by many decades and extinguished the lives of millions. (Also the Bolsheviks, as many people believe, were not responsible for the abdication of the Czar, he did that before they took over..the major change had already occured when the nasty boys decided to deliver the dicatatorship of the proletariat) Almost every sub-saharan country has undergone a revolution in the past 4 decades.. sometimes several... when I compare Africa with Switzerland.. not exactly a place ripe for revolution.. I think I would choose the less "cleansed" Switzerland.

"sweeping away existing disorder"

And creating a template for new disorder...or sometimes.. hooray for the new boss... he screws us just like the old boss.
