I agree.

Which doesn't necessarily mean that more money might not be spent as part of a solution, but it shouldn't be spent on more of the same. After generations of increasing the money without getting better results, anyone asking for more money now, should have solid answers about how this will be different, about how the system is going to be changed. The answer shouldn't be "continue to throw in more money with no changes".

Ideally efficiency would go up and you could get better education for the same money or even less. But even getting efficiency to hold steady with the next increase (and I'm sure that political factors will cause increased education spending as they have in the past, there has to be some limit, but I don't think we've reached it yet), and getting some real noticeably positive return from the next increase would be a nice change.
