Triex Minerals Corporation: 2007 Exploration Budget

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - April 3, 2007) - Triex Minerals Corporation (TSX VENTURE:TXM) ("Triex") is pleased to announce the details of the $8.7 Million board approved exploration budget for 2007.

Uranium projects ranging from generative-stage work to resource delineation will be advanced in the Athabasca Basin, Saskatchewan, the Hornby Bay Basin, Nunavut, and at Boulder Creek, Alaska. Between fifteen and twenty thousand metres of diamond drilling is planned on five properties. For property locations, visit the company's website at www.triexminerals.com.

Triex manages exploration risk through diversity. Approximately 62% of the exploration budget will fund early-stage drilling in the Athabasca Basin in Saskatchewan on the Pasfield Lake, Mann Lake and Wollaston NE properties. Approximately 17% of the budget will fund drill testing of new targets in the Hornby Bay Basin outside of the known Mountain Lake uranium deposit area. Approximately 16% of the budget will fund the completion of resource delineation drilling at the Boulder Creek uranium deposit in Alaska, and the start of reconnaissance-style drilling of new regional targets in the search for additional deposits in the district.

Triex devotes approximately 5% of its annual budget to generative work and the development of early stage projects to feed its exploration pipeline at the front end.

Triex has approximately $14.7 Million in the treasury, 16.7 million outstanding shares, and is well financed for its annual exploration obligations and opportunities.
