Of course, lawmakers always travel abroad, especially when they don't need to, that's the perk they get when in Congress, but NOT the Speaker of the House when the White House specifically told her not to go... this is very different than some lower level Congressman taking his family on taxpayer money to travel around pretending to be busy doing something important, and even then, they defend current policy and they travel with the President's permission... this is the person THIRD in line for the position of President of the United States, and she was meeting with the head of a country when told not to meet that leader... what do you think that tells that syrian leader? It tells him that America is now run wild with factions apart from the ONLY Secretary of State we have... this is either completely stupid or completely arrogant on her part, I say she's probably both stupid and arrogant, this sets a whole new standard for political stupidity... you can well imagine the syrian leader is going to sweet talk that woman into a situation to his political advantage, she's not too bright upstairs... this will surely come back to bite us, I guarantee it...
