I'm not a big Pelosi fan, but I think the President ranting about all this instead of letting her do her tour and letting her give her letter to Assad just gives her more visibility. The State Department can let Assad know that Mrs. Pelosi is not an agent of American Foreign Policy (commonly done with business/political meetings..just to ensure no message is being missed if one is intended), and then its over. By ranting about people talking to people he won't talk to....I just don't think it helps the President look, well, presidential. But this President is still learning how to operate in an environment when he does not have all the cards. I don't think he looks very good standing out there lecturing others....
