The only non-CF bulbs I use are the small base ones in the lights on the front of the house. I haven't seen those in CF, in fact I think the better solution for those is LED.

I'm sort of a lighting nerd, but I think people should go toward task lighting and cut out the stupid ambient lighting. Why light your ceiling?

You can also get higher contrast, better color rendition and more comfortable vision with ~5900K bulb at lower wattage. I could go on... and on...
