Taking "a few pawns" hostage when they were conducting UN operations in Iraq is not going to go down any better in Britain than it did when the Argentinian thugs decided to expand their thuggish ways outside Argentina. Mr Wipe Israel Off The Map will get quite a surprise if he thinks Britain is a has-been wimp. There is a quorum building for sorting Iran out. Meaning shock and awe. Not to mention horror and regret. Israel, understandably, doesn't take kindly to the threat of being "wiped off the map", especially when the way genocidal people do "wiping" does not involve negotiated compulsory purchase of property at market prices or something so genteel as elections. The USA seems to be parking a significant amount of processed iron ore in the vicinity of Iran. Russia, while happy to give the USA a mess to deal with in Iran, has their limits and those limits won't include giving Iran nuclear bomb capability to be supplied to Islamic Jihad Beslan-type murderers for use in a Moscow movie theatre, apartment building or Red Square. China wants to give the USA big heaps of problems too, and wants to buy Iranian hydrocarbons. But they don't want nuclear bombs being sold around the world to the highest bidder, which might include Taiwan in a worst case scenario. Or, G-d forbid, Tibetans or western provincial Islamic Jihad. You can imagine Britain is not particularly happy with Iran just now. Germany, France, Nederlands, Belgium, Sweden, Spain, Italy, and others are not thinking that the Iranians are particularly worthy of support and are up to their waists in Islamic Jihad alligator swamp in their home towns. Iraqis are not uniformly in favour of Iran swaggering around assisting murder. Mqurice
