Did you ever see the movie God Said "HA"?

IT's about how Julia Sweeney dealt with her brother's cancer, and then dealt with her own breast cancer. It's a brilliant and inspiring movie. I watch it often, just because I find it so life affirming, and I imagine someone who had cancer would find it even more meaningful than I do.

the getting the wig idea before it falls out is wonderful!

thank you

it's tips from people like you who have been there that help the most

she does color her hair and you're right, the doc has told her to stop

I suggested the cancer survival group to her, she didn't respond to it - maybe in time

I send her jokes, but not cancer jokes - at this point it isn't very funny to either of us

she is worrying about dates we've set in the future, if she can keep them, how she will feel - I told her not to worry, we'll go with the flow and work everything around what works for her at the time [she is a MONSTER planner] - she'd like to keep her life as normal as possible

I'm in the process of putting together a scrapbook of all the pictures we've taken through the years of our adventures - some of the pics are pretty funny - all have stories and wonderful memories - we've done much together

she and family took a trip this week before her treatment starts - monday they put the shunt in and tuesday is her first chemo

I'll keep the thread updated as she progresses in her treatment
