I see what you're saying. OK, I've removed the negative sign so that Change for all the Short positions is the stock's actual change, so shorts which have risen (and hurt the player's performance) will have change as positive. "Cost" for the stock list could be "Start", just to make it clear that this is from the 4/2 close price, if that's what you intend. By cost I mean purchase price. Since we purchase mid-game it's not necessarily going to be the stock's price on 4/2. If Bonefish's LEND is "up" how is his portfolio down $7.02? LEND is up, but since he's short LEND that is hurting his performance. All of LEND's rise since 4/2 is being deducted from his total.
